ROAD CONDITIONS

The Kimberley's road can constantly change, with a majority gravel and being maintained and graded regularly. 

For the most up to date information on the conditions and possible closures, please refer to the following information;

• Gibb River Road is managed by Main Roads WA, their travel map shows information on roads they manage from across the state. 
• West of Barnett Roadhouse, all the other roads are managed by the Shire of Derby/West Kimberley. Their road conditions are available here.
• The East side of the Gibb, including access to Kalumburu, is managed by the Shire of Wyndham/East Kimberley whose road conditions are available here.

Please remember to drive to conditions. There are numerous hazards in the region including (but not limited to) cattle, birds, dust clouds and kicked up rocks.
